Hockey Home Highlights

Well, at one point it had looked like we’d never reach it this season, but it’s finally upon us. The NHL playoffs! The season is past, the best teams have been decided, and now we are in the first of the rounds that will reduce the number from 16 to 2 for a chance at the Cup! Now, with the playoffs in full swing, is a great time to take a look at the decor and products that we offer related to hockey, whether for your own enjoyment or in preparation for home decoration and parties.

NHL Garden Flag

We didn’t make it this year, but let’s keep trying!

In terms of team based decorations, we have all sorts of options. For example, we have a handsome array of hand-painted garden signs with team names and logos, meant to be placed outside your home. Support your team by displaying the signs, or perhaps some decorative garden stones, proudly in your garden. Give a tree a face with a supporting baseball cap to really bring everyone into the spirit. Or perhaps, you are more concerned about party utilities? We have a wide arrangement of reusable, freezable ice cubes, also labeled with the team imagery, as well as magnetic bottle openers. Be ready for any event from game watching to major get-togethers with these.

If Hockey Blanketyour interest is in hockey itself, rather than specific teams, then we have a series of decorations and products focused directly on the sport itself, as well. Like so many of the topics I cover, we have some lovely blankets and throws, such as the one pictured here. Although meant normally for Christmas, ornaments such as these and these are great for general decoration and occasionally gift purposes.

So either have a blast at home or hang out at your favorite sports bar and enjoy the games! There is still a good month or more of hockey before this shortened but intense season comes to an end, and we would love to have just a small piece of the fun with you, or help supply it. Game on!

April and Showers and Things They Cause

With the start of spring, around here we’ve been seeing one thing. Rain. A lot of rain. All kinds of rain for days and days. But then, that’s just a part of this time of year, people say. “April Showers bring May Flowers” and all that. The rainy season is just what people expect when the start of spring rolls around, and this has been true for a long number of years. But the rain, when you think of it, certainly reminds you of a lot of different things, doesn’t it?

For example, some ofRecycled Planter you are getting ready to start working in the garden again. Time to plant flowers and set up growing plants for the rest of the year. Let us help, with an array of garden accessories and tools, such as this. We have a selection of planters for outdoors, from beautiful pieces made of recycled materials such as the one linked, to stone pedestals and urns. Fences, gloves, garden stakes and flags, we have everything you would need to give your yard a head start on spring with some well placed greenery.

But on the other hand, perhaps you are concerned about sprucing up your house, especially the parts of it that help deal with rain. Perhaps you need to improve your drainage, with something like this handsome copper spout head. A fine visual piece for your house, this item is assured, with its cultivated features, to improve the look of the roof wherever it is placed. Of course, some people are tired of the traditional, and long for something Rain Chaindifferent. Even in the world of water drainage, this is a possibility! Take a look at the work of art that is Rain Chains! A style of decor originally created in Japan, these items are a length of chain, usually with water collecting devices spaced throughout it, that is hung from the roof. The water naturally flows down the chain into the cups or whatever other item is on them, and through holes in the bottom of each, cascading down the full length into a waiting container or the ground. With designs representing wine, fruit, tea and coffee cups, and so much more, you should definitely be the first person you know to have this thrilling and unique bit of work.

After all, just because it is raining doesn’t mean a bad thing. Rain is as common and normal as anything else associated with spring, and you may find it fun to take a shot at enjoying it the same as any other weather-related circumstance. Up here, with our all too unpredictable weather, we’ve certainly learned to do so!
