Mother’s Day Eve…….Eve

Well, its the weekend of Mother’s Day, and I thought we would take a moment to revisit this holiday before the big holiday season. With just two days before it, I guess you can call today Mother’s Day Eve, Eve? Well, perhaps that doesn’t sound right, but it is still important to consider it right away, and figure out what you want to do. Like before, let’s consider the ways to show our mothers how much we care. Whether it’s breakfast in bed, taking them out to a nice brunch, doing all their chores for them for a day(or longer if you’re smart), or getting them just the right gift, be sure to show your mother how much you care! And with some of the decorations and novelties we offer here at Christmas Central, let us help.

I <3 Mom

For decorations best suited for showing Mom how you feel, we have all kinds of options. For example, we have expressive hanging ornaments like the cookie shaped one pictured to the right. Although it looks great, however, it isn’t a real cookie, so be sure Mom doesn’t give it a taste! Decorative Mom plaques are another strong possibility to show her just how you care. Picture frames, too, are a great choice. This one is elegant in its simplicity, giving its message in a clear, thoughtful and succinct manner. We have so much more to offer on this topic that there just isn’t time or room to do it justice at the moment, so please, don’t assume that this is all we have.

It is impossible to deny the power that mothers have over our life. They brought us into this world, they took care of us for the most part with very few exceptions. They have always been around to love us and to help us when we need it. So be sure not to take that for granted. Show your gratitude, if not every day oMom Picture Framef the year, at least on this weekend as a clear gesture. We stand behind our mothers here at Christmas Central, and hope that you will want to do the same. Have a great weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day!

School’s Out! Well, Not QUITE Yet…Gearing up for Graduation

Last week, I took time out to discuss parties, particularly picnics and outdoor patio events. With May and June right in front of us, however, there is a very special event that many people will be experiencing that should be addressed. That, of course, would be Graduation. Whether college or high school, millions of teens and young adults will be in the mood to celebrate their advancement from one phase of life. Some graduations are as soon as May, though many more are in the month of June, but in either case, you have plenty of time to check out what we have to offer that might work for any Graduation party planning.

One thing we have to offer is a number of decorationGraduation Flags specifically themed for graduates. Throw blankets, photo frames and pillows, flags and ornaments, works both funny and inspirational, there is a wide supply here. Set up as a decoration, or as a memento of a special time in someone’s life for years to come, these items are a perfect expression of the joy that graduation brings to those who have spent years and years working, just waiting for this moment that makes high school students feel they have finally adults and college students hope to be ready for the “real world”.

Once again returning to the idea of parties, it is worth noting that for big events like this, you are likely to be much shorter on equipment, seating and tables, furniture in general. There will be many more people there on average, since Graduation parties are such big affairs. Often you get friends of the student, classmates and other students of the school, as well as family members and other friends As such, you may find yourself in need of additional seating and large patio furniture can bFolding Table Sete expensive, so why not consider some foldable chairs and tables? Take a moment to check out these durable and portable items, great for fast, non permanent additions to any furniture set. Not to mention that they could be used at any other event, as they are easily loadable into any car to take to other houses or even to tailgating events.

There’s no time to lose! School will end any time now, with the summer months just around the corner. Before it’s too late, you’ll definitely want to get ready for celebrating the end of school life and the start of something new and special!

Plotting out Memorial Day

One of the major holidays in May, Memorial Day is many different things. The start of Summer Vacation season, and therefore a start to summer almost as important as June 21st. A long weekend marked with picnics, get-togethers and parties, much as we’ve learned about in other articles here on this very site.

But more than anything, Memorial Day is a day of remembrance. Started after the Civil War to remember the dead on both sides, it has been expanded to all Americans who were lost in wars. And so, today we’d like to talk about items we offer here that might be useful for your Memorial Day experience.

Flag DecorationMuch like the Fourth of July, a common decoration that people enjoy displaying on Memorial Day is the American Flag, and we have no shortage of decorative options which use this distinct and popular symbol. From long garland strings like the one pictured on the left, to large decorative blankets, we carry flags in any shape imaginable. From lights to garden flags to decorative ornaments, you can find it here.

Another type of decoration that may be considered is decorations based on the Armed Forces. After all, this holiday is about them, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, upholding what they held dear. So we are also proud to carry any number of decorations based on Soldier Throwthe Armed Forces. For a solemn, dignified image, perhaps a religiously themed wall hanging about soldiers, or a similarly styled tapestry throw blanket, such as pictured here. Of course, if you would prefer a more hopeful or happy stance on the holiday, there are options for that too, such as mixing in our own Christmas style for this Santa Claus, ready for duty.

There is almost a month, as of today, before we reach this important holiday, so don’t delay in your selections. Find the items or decorations that most suit your own needs for the holiday, even if it is as simple as a carrying case for a picnic. Have a happy spring, for summer is approaching fast.

Love to Decorate!

Hola Amigos and Amigas! Peanut the novelty elf here, to give a different perspective on St. Valentine’s day. Maybe the fact that I live in a giant orange Christmas tree is a hint, but I like things that are a little different. So instead of treading the beaten path of hearts and Cupid, we’re going to try something a bit more novel!

Traditionally Valentine’s day is celebrated by the exchanging of cards and gifts between a man and a woman and the most common decorations one tends to see are window silhouettes. And if the traditional route is the one of your choosing, you may want to consider a multi-holiday light projector.

But enough silly parameters! Here at Christmas Central we recognize that Valentine’s day can also be celebrated between a man and a man or a woman and a woman and are proud to offer a selection of gay pride décor.

But aside from romantic love, there is much more to celebrate this Valentine ’s Day! Show your best friend (link to search results to best friend) how much they mean to you with a personalize-able gift or maybe something a bit more sentimental (picture p80-walk). This time of year is also a great time to reconnect with family. Send your loved ones family portraits in gorgeous decorative frames that will make them swoon, or celebrate the day with a shared activity that you can bond over.

St. Valentine’s Day can also a time to celebrate the greatest love of all. Be sure not to miss our bounding selection of religious décor. For example, angel figurines and statues can be a great way to bring the warmth of God’s love into your heart this cold season.

So take a novel look this often misunderstood holiday and discover that no matter who you’re with, this is a season to celebrate! So get your loved ones or even your(s)elf something nice and have a fantabulous February!

Mischievously yours,

Peanut the Novelty Elf!

CCEN: Super Bowl Sensation!

Hello again, everyone, and welcome back to CCEN. As always, I’m Winter Clearlight. It’s been a while since our last broadcast. We had a long interruption due to just how amazingly busy we were during the Christmas season, which ended up causing an abrupt end to Christmas Watch. I just want to take a moment to thank all of you, out there, who showed such amazing enthusiasm, showering us here at Christmas Central with so much attention!

But now that Christmas is past once again, it is time to look to the future. And the closet thing in the future we have is the Super Bowl. Yes, it’s just about time once again for that pinnacle of football, the championship game. And what a game it is shaping up to be. Baltimore and San Francisco. The Ravens and the 49ers. A unique event, in which teams coached by brothers will go head to head to win it all.  All eyes are on the Big Easy, New Orleans, on February 3rd.

We carry football decorations unconnected to any team, as well!

It doesn’t matter which of the teams you support, because if you are a fan, now is the time to plan for a party. It’s time to roll out the team welcome mat, and decorate. Christmas Central carries all your needs for a party. We have officially licensed gear for both teams, so be sure to give it a look. And if you don’t find what you need just there, get creative. Use your team colors, for example. The options are endless.

And we can help with more than just the decorations. If you find yourself in need of that specific flavor for your party snacks, we can help there too. As we are located first and foremost in Buffalo, if there’s one things the elves in this area know, its the best options for Buffalo chicken sauce. Bar-B-Q sauce is also an option we offer, good for any meal or snack.

Football season is reaching its most exciting moment, and our hope is that we can, in even a small way, help share that with you. I’m Winter Clearlight, signing off.
